Florida Marlins star shortstop Hanley Ramirez is less than pleased over his benching by manager Fredi Gonzalez.
Ramirez said he saw no need to apologize to teammates or the manager and said Gonzalez can do what he wants.
He is not in the lineup just a day after being benched for not running hard to pick up a ball he accidentally kicked, allowing two runs to score.
The shortstop in a way threw his teammates under the bus, saying a lot of them are dogging it on the field.
He also claims that an injury from earlier in the game caused him trouble going after the ball and said it was as fast as he could get there.

The Florida Marlins took the rubber game of their weekend series against the Washington Nationals, riding stars Hanley Ramirez and Josh Johnson to a 9-3 win on Sunday.
Ramirez went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI. Johnson, meanwhile, settled down after a shaky start to go six strong innings, striking out eight and allowing two runs. He did walk four batters, though.
The Marlins got to Nationals starter John Lannan, tagging him for nine hits and six runs in five innings. Washington only mustered six hits of its own on the day.
Gabby Sanchez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored for Florida.
